Life is a journey
Er.Alok Kumar
Life is a journey and to define a destination for life is as much a sacrilege as throwing it away.
This thought dawned suddenly to me before dawn in the darkest hour both literally and symbolically.
I was so adamantly focused on finding purpose or showing purpose does not exist in life ,
that I forgot that journey is even more important.
Problem with making destination more important than journey is that you end up enjoying it less
and you get too stuck on the fixed path that you do not dare to go
on those not trod path through woods or beautiful cart track in the valley .
Haven't you ever felt when journey is wonderful , destinations do not matter.

When one really starts enjoying the fact of being alive ,no purpose no goal is needed to justify life's existence.
And one finds that justifying one's existence with all sort of purpose seem so meaningless and trite.

I still need to shed a lot of things to truly enjoy this journey.
The feeling of obligation, the feeling of justification, the feeling of competition are all hindrance.
To truly exalt life we should not have to be obliged,to justify, to compete .
They should occur without us even noticing it .
The fact that we think about it means we are putting ourselves at strain.

When you start feeling that life is great to you and
you should do something to help someone
who is not having a great life.
It is not really that you are not honoring life but insulting it as you think some life is not compared to you
and you want to feel great about your life by showing other's life is lowly.
If one could reach a stage where one would help someone without feeling about it then we salute life.

There is so much to learn about life that I do not even know now.

Here are the few lines from song which was playing when I wrote this thing from Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic

The other side of the coin...

Most of my colleagues asking me “how u can be smiling always (internally they feel that “this guy don’t have any problems???)”…the answer from me is “again a simple smile only”...

Once if I look back into my life, which I spent until 3 years back is really a different world...so many sleepless nights…no money to take food twice in a day. Thinking hundreds of times before spending one rupee....oh my god …no ending to the list…

Like many of the Indians me also come from a poor family who are living under below poverty line…parents don’t have a single cent of land and house to live. They only depends up on their hard work …they will go for daily wages in the field. If they work through out the day they’ll get 25 Rs only….friends I’m not talking about the life before independence..i’m talking about the life which I spent until 3 years back..

But my parents having one strong desire ...”at least they should give better life to their son”..

Up to 10th standard I never think about our situation…may be bocoz of my age factor or may be not mature enough to think about family situations..After that I’ve started thinking ..”how they r working hard..”..can any
body believe that “until 3 years back we didn’t have our own
house..tv…at least power in the house where we r staying…the house we were staying is a shed where owners usually tied their cattle(buffalos, cows, oxes..etc)..there was no proper roof. if there was raining, we all will move to one corner and wait until rain stops.. In the rainy season it was really like a mess. The dung which the catle releases and the grass which crushed under the legs produce un-bearable smell.. but we are not in a position to afford rent for a better hosue, that’s why we spent there only..Once I realized these situations, I started concentrating more on studies…I got a rank in engineering. Only my mother helped me financially in those
four years…finally I got job in a big MNC with a good salary..

After getting job..in these 3 years i’ve given one beautiful house to my parents, arranged all kinds of home appliances….and even they r not in a position to believe how the life changed with in these three years…

Now I’m well settled and getting more than 10K per month..but for me, those 25 Rs which my mother was getting for his daily wage really valuable than which I’m getting right now…

What I learnt from my life is “after every sunset there is a sunrise”.. Hope for the future…that hope gives u more energy to move towards your
destination...

Sorry friends…it is so much boring na... ???????

“We
do not remember days, we remember moments. The richness of life lies in
memories we have forgotten, because the true art of memory is the art
of attention.”

“Memory is the library/storage of the mind”

Memory
is a function of the brain: the ability to retain information. Memory
is much studied by cognitive psychology and neuroscience. There are
multiple types of classifications for memory based on duration, nature
and retrieval of perceived items. The terms "storage" and "memory" may
also refer to the parts of a digital computer that retain physical
state (data) for some interval of time, possibly even after electrical
power to the computer is turned off. Where both terms are in use,
"memory" is generally used for the faster forms, and "storage" for the
slower forms.

Memory is a man's real possession...In nothing else is he rich, in nothing else is he poor.

My Favourite Song :-

Chale Jaise Hawayein Sanan Sanan
Udhe Jaise Parinde Gagan Gagan
Jaaye Thithiliyaan Jaise Chaman Chaman
Yoon Hi Ghumoon Main Bhi Magan Magan

Main Deewani Dil Ki Rani Gham Se Anjaani
Kab Darti Hoon Woh Karti Hoon Jo Hai Taani

Chale Jaise Hawayein Sanan Sanan
Udhe Jaise Parinde Gagan Gagan

Waz Up?
Say Wat?

Koi Rokhe Koi Aaye
Jitna Bhi Mujhko Samjhaaye
Maina Sunoongi Kabhi
Apni Hi Dhun Main Rehti Hoon
Main Pagli Hoon Main Ziddi Hoon
Kehte Hai Yeh To Sabhi
Koi Nahin Jaana Ke
Armaan Kya Hai Mera

Chale Jaise Hawayein Sanan Sanan
Udhe Jaise Parinde Gagan Gagan
Jaaye Thithiliyaan Jaise Chaman Chaman
Yoon Hi Ghumoon Main Bhi Magan Magan

Main Deewani Dil Ki Rani Gham Se Anjaani
Kab Darti Hoon Woh Karti Hoon Jo Hai Taani

Chale Jaise Hawayein Sanan Sanan
Udhe Jaise Parinde Gagan Gagan

Aaye Hasina Yeh To Aaye
Mujhko Dikhane Apni Adhaye
Main Bhi Kuch Kam Nahin...Yeah
Aankhon Mein Aankhen Jo Daalu
Dil Na Churalu Hosh Churalu
Koi Ho Kitna Haseen
Mera Ho Gaya Woh
Jo Ek Baar Mujhse Mila

Chale Jaise Hawayein Sanan Sanan
Udhe Kaise Parinde Gagan Gagan
Jaaye Bhawaren Jaise Chaman Chaman
Yoon Hi Ghumoon Main Bhi Magan Magan

Main Deewana Main Anjaana Gham Se Begaana
Hoon Awaara Lekin Pyaara Sab Ne Maana

Chale Jaise Hawayein Sanan Sanan
Udhe Jaise Parinde Gagan Gagan
Jaaye Bhawaren Jaise Chaman Chaman
Yoon Hi Ghumoon Main Bhi Magan Magan

Chale Jaise Hawayein Sanan Sanan
Udhe Jaise Parinde Gagan Gagan

Hi friends,

Today i was thinking about the day i joined the rediffiland and realised how, so many months have passed
.In all these months i have got so many nice friends. Some of them are
with me and some have left me.I always keep in mind not to say any
harsh words to anybody or to hurt anybody intentionally.but still just
like everybody i am also human being and life is not a bed of roses
even for me.so many expectations from parents, friends, relatives, society
and above all from myself and when we are unable to fulfil expectations
it sometimes results in tensions, pains and frustration.so today i would
like to say sorry to all my friends who are with me and who have left
me. if i have hurt you in any way or said anything wrong due to my
mood.please forgive me.i am really really sorry.but don’t keep any hard
feelings.Tell me,communicate with me ,but don’t forget me.

Break your silence

Hundred words do not give pain

But a special persons silence

Makes more tears in our heart …

This
is a big true which I have experienced myself. I had a very special
friend who was very much close to my heart we shared our feelings to
each other he was really a gift for me and I loved him a lot …..

But one day every thing went wrong we fought with
each other …… at the starting I didn’t took it very much seriously ….
But as the days passed I understood that a big gap was formed between
us when ever our eyes met with each other it spoke every thing but our lips remained silent for 8 months ….

Day before yesterday breaking all the barriers formed between us we talked to each other. more than words for some times tears spoke for us …….we talked every thing which we wished for . while sitting beside him I felt a feeling which I have never felt before so I cant give that feeling a particular name …..

Time was running so fast ……. I wished if I had more time to spent with him , but we both was too late as it was the last day in our great school as we had finished our 12th board exam successfully

At last while we were going to leave he asked to me “will you miss me???? With out waiting for my answer he continued I will surely miss you and I hate to do so …..

“ will you stay with me , close to me …..Till my death ” I think it’s the only way I can stop missing you ….. Saying this he went ….

First I didn’t understood what he meant by saying so but when I understood it was too late …. As he already left the school..

But no problem if God wish that we should be always together through out the life he

[god] will make us meet again …..

so ……. What I just want to say is “ IF YOU KEEP WATING FOR THE RIGHT TIME TO BEGIN YOU MAY NEVER BEGIN ….. BEGIN FROM WHERE YOU ARE,WITH WHAT YOU ARE AND WITH WHAT YOU HAVE …..

according to AIRTELL “ BARRIERS BREAK IF PEOPLE TALK ”

SO IF YOUR LIPS ARE SILENT TO SOME ONE COMEON GO AND BREAK IT …

BECAUSE …….

WHEN SOME THING VALUABLE IS NEAR US

WE WONT CARE FOR IT …..

BUT WHEN WEMISS THAT PRECIOUS THING

WE START FEELING FOR IT …….

THAT’S LIFE……..

90/10 Principle

The 90/10 Principle. Please
read when you're free. This is true and can apply to us .... Have you
read this before? Discover the 90/10 Principle. It will change your/our
life (at least the way you react to situations).

What is this
principle? 10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life
is decided by how you react. What does this mean?

We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic. We have no control over this 10%.

The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%. How? By your reaction. You cannot control a red light,
but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you; You can
control how you react.

Let's use an example. You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just what happened.

What happens when the next will be determined by how you react. You curse. You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus. Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit. After a 15-minute delay and throwing Rs.260 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse.
You look forward to coming home. When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter. Why? Because of how you reacted in the morning.

Why did you have a bad day?

A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?

The answer is D.

You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day.

Here is what could have and should have happened.

Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "It's ok honey, you just need to be more careful next time". Grabbing a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having.

Notice the difference?

Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different. Why?

Because of how you REACTED. You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction. Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle.
If someone says something
negative about you, don't be a sponge! Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you!React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose you
temper? Pound on the steering wheel? A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off. Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them? WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin your drive?

Remember the 90/10
principle, and do not worry about it. You are told you lost your job.
Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying
energy and time into finding another job.

The plane is late; it
is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take out your
frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on. Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse.
Now you know the 90/10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results. You will lose nothing if you try it.

The 90/10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle.

The result?

Millions
of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and
heartache. There never seem to be a success in life.

Bad days follow bad days. Terrible things seem to be constantly happening.

There is constant stress, lack of joy, and broken relationships.

Worry consumes time.
Anger breaks friendships and life seems dreary and is not enjoyed to the fullest.

Friends are lost.
Life is a bore and often seems cruel.

Does this describe you?
If so, do not be discouraged .. You can be different! Understand and apply the 90/10 principle. It will change your life.

--My Best Friend--

My God has blessed mewith a wonderful friend.
He’ll be there for me
when it seems like the end.

He keeps all my secrets
and leads me away from all bad.
He is, most definitely,
the best friend I’ve had.

I’m never alone,
we’re always together,
And I feel sure that we’ll
be friends forever.

He’s never hurt me;
he’s never made me sad,
And I know for sure
he’s the best friend I’ve had.

This man is not normal,
he is not like us.
For he is my Savior,
his name is Jai Hanuman.

Thanks Giving :

Thanks giving is a moment to remember.
How little we can do
to move the stars.
All we are and have we must surrender,
Nor is Earth less inscrutable than Mars.
Knowing this, we know the need for
friends.
Sharing both our pleasures and our pain,
Giving, though it may not serve their ends,
In joy the love that will our love
sustain.
Very much like water in a lake,
In sum we serve as mirrors
to the sky.
No one alone can heaven's picture take.
Given friends,
we know the reason why.

The Forever Friend

On my own, but mostly the savannah,
Where the tumbleweeds fade away and die,
Before the glassy sun burns a summer of crystals,
The glistering waters of the high seas Of which was so far a place as of where vultures roam.
I looked around but you weren't anywhere...
You used to say that you would never die,But I took the wrong meaning into my heart.
Now the sea is wild with despair,
Deep blue like a prairie
of flowers blue,
Where all children of God rest in eternal peace.
I saw you at the end,
You and I, brother and sister of nature,Brother and sister of heaven and earth,
Your usually calm and heavenly eyes full of tears,
Bitterly falling one after one into a river,
Then the river of life turned red in blood.
My eyes watched in horror.
Slowly and deadly your heart became poisoned,
You disappeared without saying
good-bye,
Not a word came out of your mouth.
You became like
desolation in its grave.
When once the skies were a realm of stars,
And the sun shone brightly in summer skies,
You were there to share the calmness;
But now I stand here in midst of the tall grass
And only the savannah remains.

I Can See The Pain

I still see your face in my dreams.
It hurts and it doesn't help at all.
I still want you in my life as crazy as that seems.
I want you to catch me
when I fall.

I still remember the first time we met. There was something so different about you.
Your friendship was something I wanted to get That smile when
you said hi to me was so new.

Out of no. where you called me on the phone I wanted to sit there and talk to you forever.
You were so new, so crazy and unknown.
I just knew that our friendship would never sever.

Two years and we are barely holding it together.
What happened to the way
this all used to be.
I never wanted you out of my like ever .
I sat there for a long time pretending not to see

We decided to go out and make it all all right It didn't work out of course we knew it couldn't.
We couldn't even really stand each others sight It shouldn't end this way but it did and I shouldn't.

I miss you and everything you were to me Ten years from now we will look back on it all.
We will be older and finally be able to see .That love will
stand the test of time and never fall.

Death- A Funny Item

Beautiful Explanation of Death
~DEATH~ WHAT A WONDERFUL WAY TO EXPLAIN IT..

A sick man turned to his doctor as he was preparing toLeave the examination room and said, 'Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what lies on the other side.' Very quietly, the doctor said, 'I don't know.' 'You don't know? You, a Christian man, Do not know what is on the other side?' The doctor was holding the handle of the door; On the other side came a sound of scratching and whining, And as he opened the door, a dog sprang into the room And leaped on him with an eager show of gladness. Turning to the patient, the doctor said, 'Did you notice my dog? He's never been in this room before. He didn't know what was inside. He knew nothing except that his master was here, And when the door opened, he sprang in without fear. I know little of what is on the other side of death, But I do know one thing... I know my Master is there and that is enough.'

May today there be peace within you. May you trust God that you are exactly Where you are meant to be. I believe that friends are quiet angels Who lift us to our feet when our wings Have trouble remembering how to fly. Just pass this on to your loved ones if you like this.

Pain of a Married Man ...!!

A woman awakes during the night to find that her husband was not in bed. She goes downstairs to look for him. She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee in front of him.

He appears to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall. She watches as he wipes a tear from his eye and takes a sip of his coffee.

'What's the matter, dear?' she whispers as she steps into the room. 'Why are you down here at this time of night?'

The husband looks up from his coffee, 'Do you remember 20 years ago when we were dating, and you were only 18?' he asks solemnly.

'Yes I do' she replies.

The husband pauses; the words were not coming easily. 'Do you remember when your father caught us in the garden?'

'Yes, I remember' said the wife, lowering herself into a chair beside him.

The husband continued.. 'Do you remember when he showed the shotgun in my face and said, 'Either you marry my daughter, or I'll send you to jail for 20 years?'

'I remember that too' she replied softly.

He wiped another tear from his cheek and said, 'I would have been released today!'
